 In honor of Dr. William McBride and to recognize his many contributions to improving cardiovascular health in the Southeast, the Consortium for Southeastern Hypertension Control (COSEHC) has established a dedicated endowment to fund the William McBride Memorial Lectureship.
- The endowment will fund an annual lecture in honor of Dr. William McBride, which will be presented each year at COSEHC’s annual meeting.
- Topics selected will represent the ideals and vision of Dr. McBride including but not limited to health care systems, community cardiovascular health improvement, information technology, and population strategies to reduce morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular disease.
- A Board appointed Lectureship Committee will recommend topics and speakers to the COSEHC executive committee for final selection.
- The selected speaker will receive an honorarium and travel expenses to present the lecture at the annual COSEHC meeting. A plaque will be presented to the speaker in recognition of the lectureship.
